A few pix from Portland...to start...

I've been very remiss (as usual) in blogging. I feel so busy all the time! But here (right before I have to run for work) are a couple pictures from this weekend. More to follow.

Thank you Megan for wielding the camera yesterday.

Molly seems fairly relaxed about the dog show thing.

Wally and his person Henry visit their good friend Eric Weller at ringside. Knowing these guys I doubt they were actually talking about dogs. Wally is sure that everyone loves him.

My dog loves me...and cookies...

And BIG thank you to Pilot's many supporters and fans. I have to say I love this dog. It's far more than his being a gorgeous (IMO) dog right now. He's a true squishy lover. I know what Shelley is talking about with his dad :)

During BoB, from left: Kim & Maya, Henry & Wally, Denise & Ruby, Bill Shelton & Ch Lady Tuckaway of Camelot. Denise was BOB on Saturday and Monday, Bill's blue was Friday and Sunday.

Pilot was WD/BOS on Friday and WD/BOW/BOS on Sunday and Monday. He picked up 2 3 point majors and a 4 point major - and those came from the dog numbers, not because of the BOW. He even learned to be a show dog...kinda....

More later, now I'm late!

I'm glad I got to meet Pilot. OMG, send me home with one like him *G*

Thank you so much for your time (and patience) with me and Galaxy. It means a lot to me.

OH! On the litter you talked about with Clem, remember the white spotting the sire has, and that he carries e red. I was thinking about that litter (drooling), and remembered there's the huge likelihood of mismarkings since he's 'excessive white', and pinks.

Thanks! I will pass that along to her co owners. As its not a line I have worked with I hadt caught what was there. Hmmmmm....darn dog breeding, always a give and take....

I would KILL for a pup from that cross (And have actually thought if I ever breed Galaxy, I'd like to take her to the Alice line....), but he carries 'pink', and has the white spotting and I believe has produced excessive white pups.

All animal breeding is give and take, but it's the good old game of gambles... breeding pinks, and mismarks would be like when I bred siamaese rats into the roans! Counter productive color/marking-wise, but I felt all around was the best cross for the line.

Sometimes it's worth the risk of cosmetic faults, even if the produced animals are only broods, and you plan on breeding the faults out *G* It's MUCH easier to do in rats, than dogs though. MUCH! haha

So, he has, what, 36 points now? How can this not have finished him? I must have miscounted.
